Trekking group service starts at 3AM, on first day the visit to Cruz del Condor view point is included after that we hike for around 3 hours Pampa San Miguel to San Juan de Chuccho.
On the second day trek takes 3 1/2 hours from San Juan de Chuccho to Sangalle.
On day 3 we go up from Sangalle to Cabanaconde, afterwards we continue in a guided bus stopping in natural view points and relaxing time at Colca Canyon hot springs.
Day 1: Arequipa – Chivay – Cruz del Condor – San Miguel – San Juan de Chuccho
At 3AM pick up from your hotel in Arequipa and then we start the private or shared guided tour to the second deepest canyon in the world: The Colca Canyon.
Going up to 4200m, where is located the Natural Reserve of Salinas and Aguada Blanca (vicugnas, lamas and alpagas).
Arrival to Patapampa (4850m), a natural view point that allows to watch the andean mountains range.
At 6AM we will arrive to Chivay town, located over 3600m, breakfast and departure to Mirador Cruz del Condor for watching condors and the canyon.
Then we arrive to Pampa San Miguel, where we will start the trek going down for around 4 hours.
Going on we reach San Juan de Chuccho, lunch and free afternoon for walking around and share time with locals.
Dinner and overnight in a family rund bamboo lodge.
Day 2: San Juan de Chuccho – Malata – Cosñirhua – Sangalle
At 8 AM after breakfast we will start hiking for approximately four hours, crossing small villages (Malata and Cosñirhua), going up hills, over 2600m above sea level and down again to our next destination called Sangalle/Oasis for having lunch.
In Sangalle we will find a nice place to spend the night with bamboo bungalows, pretty swimming pools between palm trees, surrounded by the Colca River, dinner and overnight in a family lodge.
Day 3: Sangalle – Cabanaconde – Chivay – Arequipa
At approximately 4am we will going up to Cabanaconde during 3 hours (3280m) during this day we will hike up 1050m, for the last hard and steep trail of our excursion.
Arrive to Cabanaconde and breakfast.
Departure to Chivay, visit to the hot springs La Calera. Lunch and return to Arequipa, guided stops in route at: Patapampa, a natural view point located at 4800 MASL where we will watch the southern mountain range; later we will stop at Pampa Cañahuas for watching the vicugnas, alpagas and lamas.
Arrive to Arequipa city at 6 PM.

Yes, is possible to finish the trek in Puno. The additional price for the bus from Colca Canyon to Puno is $38 dollars and includes an english speaking guide on board with guided stops.
The arrive to Puno is at 7:30PM and includes the drop off to the hotel.
Should I take all the baggages with me during the trek If I book the bus from Colca Canyon to Puno?
You can take all the baggages with you until Chivay and leave them in the baggage storage and just take with you the necessary stuff during the trek.
Do I need to carry sleeping bag?
You don’t need to carry sleeping bag. Accommodation inside the canyon is rustic and includes blankets and sheets.
Can I rent mules?
