The origin of the Amazon River is in the province of Caylloma (Arequipa), for which it would become the longest river in the world, surpassing the Nile by almost 400 kilometers.

The satellite images presented show that the flow that runs from Apacheta is constant and has a greater volume compared to that of Carhuasanta. In addition, it specifies that the latter only feeds on rain and melting ice.

The Amazon has an approximate extension of 7,062 km, crossing countries such as Peru, Colombia and Brazil, to flow into the Atlantic Ocean. For its part, the Nile River (Africa), known until today as the longest river in the world, has an extension of 6,671 km.
