The Machu Picchu Citadel

The lost city of the Incas, Machu Picchu, is considered one of the new seven wonders of the world. Hiram Bingham “discovered” it for the Western world in 1911. Its geographical position, at an altitude of 2,500 meters and surrounded by jungles, make it a unique place.

It can be reached on foot on a 40-kilometer route if you like hiking, or you can go by bus. To enter to the lost city you need to reserve an entrance fee.

The archaeologists continue to discover new passageways and nooks and crannies in Machu Picchu. This ancient city will never stop surprising us with all its secrets and mysteries of the Inca culture.

The City of Cusco

Declared a World Heritage Site, it is considered one of the most beautiful cities in all of South America. In addition to its colonial buildings, Cuzco offers the possibility of visiting the San Blas neighborhood, a neighborhood of artisans.

Another point of interest is the San Pedro market, and highly recommended would be to see the remains of the Temple of the Moon. To see where the Temple of the Sun was located, you will have to visit the Convent of Santo Domingo or Qoricancha, built on top of it.


The Amazing Iquitos

Iquitos, next to Puerto Maldonado, allow you to enter the jungle. Visiting Peru and not going into the Amazon would be a waste of time. Iquitos, can only be reached by boat or plane and is a paradise for fauna and flora lovers.


The City of Arequipa

Arequipa, also known as the white city, was built at more than 2,000 meters of altitude. Its enclave, in the middle of the Andes desert mountains, makes it one of the most beautiful cities in Peru. The particularity of its white volcanic stone houses, together with its historic center, have been declared a World Heritage Site.


The Colca Valley

Traveling from Arequipa to Chivay, where we find the Colca Valley, with altitudes between 4,000 and 5,000 meters.

The great attraction of this place, besides being an amazing andean landscape of incredible beauty, is seeing the condor fly.

The Colca Canyon, which is also one of the deepest in the world, is one of the places to see it. Also from the Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint, you can see these huge birds flying a few meters from the place.


Lake Titicaca

Lake Titicaca, at 3,800 meters above sea level, is an immense piece of navigable water. On a tour to the lake you can visit the islands of Uros and Taquile.


The Paracas National Reserve and the Ballestas Islands

This reserve has a unique ecosystem in the world, since it is a combination of desert area and great marine diversity.

This is due to the abundance of plankton in the area. Not only does it contain fossil deposits, and a particular fauna, but it is also the cradle of the ancient Paracas Culture.

The Ballestas Islands, very close to the Paracas Reserve, are small rocky islands where you can enjoy nature. You can see a large number of birds, sea lions, and the Humboldt penguin colony.


The mysterious Nazca Lines

The greatest archaeological mystery in history is hidden in the Nazca desert. Its huge geoglyphs with shapes of geometric figures, human, or animal, are still a question mark.


The Sacred valley

On the banks of the Urubamba River, is the Sacred Valley of the Incas. It is made up of numerous rivers that flow down through ravines and small valleys. Numerous indigenous towns and archaeological monuments are hidden in it.

The set is a sample of miscegenation both in architecture and art as well as in living culture. There is the town of Chinchero with its weavers. Pisac with its craft fair, or Urubamba with its marked cosmopolitanism, or even Ollantaytambo, with the fortress and its living Inca people.

Also the town of Maras and Moray with its impressive Salinaras, is part of the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
