The Yura hot springs 2,590 meters above sea level in Arequipa at one hour by from Arequipa city.
The formation of the Thermal Baths of Yura has its cause thanks to the waters that emanate from the interior of the Chachani volcano and that are at a temperature that ranges between 23º to 28º.
The place where it is located also enjoys a warm climate throughout the day.
Despite the lack of studies, the springs are attractive because they are a relaxation space for tourists, in addition to the healing properties they possess. It is said that the waters of the Yura baths are capable of curing diseases such as arthritis, anemia, rheumatism, dermatosis, obesity, vein problems, infertility, among others.
The Tiger Water Well
It contains the hottest waters, where the temperature of the water reaches 32 ºC and only adults are allowed to enter.
Its five small pools have alkaline sulfur water that contains healing properties for rheumatism, arthritis, poor blood circulation, skin diseases and obesity.
Zamácola Well and Fierro Viejo Water Well
In these pools the temperature of the water is lower, reaching 28 ºC and they are recommended to cure nervous disorders, anemia and stress due to the iron salts they contain.
Here the entrance of children is allowed, being recommended for minors who practice sports and are in the process of growing.
Tadeo Haenke Water Well
This recently created well is larger and its waters reach 28ºC, rich in iron salts.
