Get ready for an early start! Our tourist transport picks you up from your hotel or hostel in Arequipa around 3:00 AM, heading out through the Andes toward the beautiful Colca Valley.

We’ll stop along the way for a delicious local breakfast. After that, we continue to the famous Cruz del Cóndor, where we’ll spend about 40 minutes watching the majestic Andean condors glide over one of the world’s deepest canyons — an unforgettable moment!

Then, we continue the scenic drive to Cabanaconde, arriving around 9:00 AM, perfect timing to start your trek or simply relax and explore this peaceful Andean village.

Pick up between 3:00 and 3:30 AM, from your hotel or hostel in Arequipa and begin the journey towards the Colca Valley. As we leave the city, the road climbs through the Andes, offering stunning views of the volcanoes Misti, Chachani, and Pichu Pichu.

Along the way, we pass through the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve, a beautiful highland area where you might spot vicuñas, llamas, and alpacas grazing freely beside the road. We don’t stop here, but the scenery is absolutely worth staying awake for!

After several hours of driving, we’ll reach Chivay or Yanque, located in the Colca Valley. Here we stop for breakfast at a cozy local restaurant — the perfect time to warm up with a cup of coffee or tea, stretch your legs, and enjoy the first daylight over the valley.

We continue our trip through small Andean villages and breathtaking mountain landscapes until we reach the famous Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint. Here, we’ll spend about 40 minutes watching the majestic Andean condors glide over one of the world’s deepest canyons — truly a moment you’ll never forget.

After visiting the viewpoint, we continue our route to Cabanaconde, arriving around 9:00 AM. From here, you can start your trek down to the Colca Canyon (Sangalle Oasis, Llahuar, etc.) or just enjoy the calm atmosphere of this traditional Andean village.
